Day 48 of Coronavirus in France
More than 50% of serious conditions needing intensive care are under 60 years of age. France counts 4500 cases confirmed by the nasopharyngeal diagnostic test, but France only tests and counts cases of acute coronavirus. Those others that are asymptomatic or presenting with light symptoms are sent home to self-isolate. 91 people have died. (source)
We feel betrayed. We feel downright lied to. We’re watching the virus progress and what we are seeing today is NOT what we were imagining in the reports last month.
Some claim this is a new strain that has mutated and is more virulent. (source) Others claim that the Chinese lied on their reporting or perhaps they had a better method of containment.
