Sometime this fall, in the month of December, Cupcake started saying Y-sa-ba multiple times a day. We loved this cute little baby talk and laughed and repeated it back to her. We didn’t recognize it in English, and our French friends didn’t recognize it in French either. A month later it became clear she was saying, “Oui, ça va.” (Yes, it’s good.) A very useful sentence at playtime or mealtime or anytime really.
