This is a perfect example of a long-distance gift experience. My Mom handmade a gift certificate for an ice-cream with Mamaw & Papap. She mailed it in a card and my little Cupcake immediately understood she should eat the paper certificate! Boy was she excited when we took her to our favorite coffee shop for a real live ice-cream. I dressed her in the outfit we got “from Mamaw” with the Christmas money they sent and I took the homemade gift certificate with us too. She enjoyed the ice cream while we were video chatting with my Mom. And we even caught this video of her dive-begging for more so we could share it with my Dad as well. But that’s not all… I also took our camera and captured a great head shot of Cupcake which I promptly sent to be printed at Wal*Mart, not MY local store but my Mom’s local store. She could pick up the photo an hour later and hang an 8×10 on her wall with a little chocolate smudge stain on her lapel. 😉 Isn’t that cuteness.
